13.    Ada de Warenne, died 1178, married Henry, born ca. 1114/5, succeeded to the Earldom of Huntingdon upon his father´s  (David I, King of Scotland) resignation in ca. February 1136, was created Earl of Northumberland in 139, and died 12.6.1152 and was buried in Kelso Abbey, Roxburghshire.

14.    David, born ca. 1143/52, died 17.6.1219 at Yardley, Northants., and was buried in Sawtrey Abbey, Hunts., succeeded his father  as Earl of Huntingdon, Earl of Northumberland, Earl oif Carlisle and Earl of Doncaster on 12.6.1152. He was created Earl of Garioch in ca. 1180 and Earl of Cambridge and Earl of Lennox in 1205. He was deprived of all his English honours in 1215/16, but restored to them on 13.3.1218. Married 26.8.1190 Mathilda, born 1171, died 6.1.1233, dr. of Hugh de Kevilloc, Earl of Chester, and Betrade, dr. of Simon de Montfort, Count of Evreux.

15.    Isabella, born 1206, known as "Isabella the Scot", married Robert le Brus, "the Noble", Lord of Annandale, who died 1245.

16.    Robert, Lord of Annandale, a Competitor for the Crown of Scotland in 1292, married 1stly Isabella (1226-1254), dr. of Gilbert de Clare, married 2ndly Christina, died ca. 1305, dr. of Sir William de Ireby, by whom he had:

17.    Robert, le Brus, born July 1243, married 1stly in 1271 at Turnberry Castle Margaret (or Marjorie), Countess of Carrick, dr. of Neil, 2nd Earl of Carrick, and Margaret, died before 9.11.1292, dr. of Walter, High Steward of Scotland.

18.    Robert I, "the Bruce", born 11.7.1274, probably at Writtle, near Chelmsford, Essex, succeeded his father as Earl of Carrick 27.10.1292 and as Lord of Annandale in 1295(?) or in 1304. On 25 or 27.3.1306 he asumed the Crown and Royal Dignity of Scotland, thus bringing to an end the Second Interregnum. This he did in defiance of Edward I of England, who declared his English estates forfeit on 20.2.1305/6. The Bruce was crowned on 27.3.1306 at Scone Abbey, Perthshire. Married 1stly ca. 1295 Isabella, dr. of Donald, 6th Earl of Mar, and Helen.

19.    Marjorie, born ca. 1297, died 2.3.1316 at Paisley, Renfrewshire, in childbed, ater falling from her horse, and was buried in Paisley Abbey, married Walter, born 1292, son of James, 5th High Stewart of Scotland, and Cecilia, dr. of Patrick, 7th Earl of Dunbar and March. Walter succeeded his father as 6th High Stewart of Scotland, from which title derived the royal surname of Stewart.

20.    Robert II, born 2.3.1316 at Paisley, Renfrewshire, created Earl of Atholl 16.2.1342, and Earl of Strathearn ca. 6/13.11.1357/8. Succeeded David II as King of Scotland as the first Stewart King on 22.2.1371, married 1stly 1336 Elizabeth Mure, dr. of Sir Adam Mure of Rowallan, Ayrshire.

21.    Robert III, born ca. 1337/40, created Earl of Carrick 22.6.1368 and styled Earl of Atholl 17.10(?).ca.1379, for this occasion only. Succeeded his father as King of Scotland on 19.4.1390. Married ca. 1366/7 Annabella, dr. of Sir John Drummond of Stobhall, and Mary Montifex.

22.    Mary Steward, died ca. 1458 and was buried in Strathblane Church, Scotand, married 1stly George (Douglas), 13th Earl of Angus, who died 1402/5.

23.    Elizabeth, married between 6 and 16.10.1423 Alexander Forbes, son and heir of Sir John Forbes, of Forbes, co. Aberdeen. He was created Lord Forbes between Oct. 1444 and July 1445.

24.    James, 2nd Lord Forbes, died between 20.9.1460 and 30.7.1462, had license from the King, who called him his cousin, 4.5.1456 to build the castle of Drumynor in the Lordship of Forbes. Married Gille, dr. of William (Keith), 1st Earl Marischal, and Mary Hamilton.

25.    William, 3rd Lord Forbes, died between 9.7.1477 and 5.7.1483, married 1468 Christian, dr. of Alexander (Gordon), 1st Earl of Huntly, and Elizabeth Crichton.

26.    John, 6th Lord Forbes, died 1547, together with his first rurviving son he was accused of treason and imprisoned in Edinburg Castle, 1563, but eventually released, though his son was beheaded. Married 2ndly before 26.2.1509/10 Christian, dr. of Sir John Lundin, of Lundin.
 
27.    William, 7th Lord Forbes, died 1593. He was a Gentleman of the Bedchamber 1539, and in great favour with the King. After the death of James V, 14.12.1542, he pusued an anti-English policy and was one of the Scots nobles who signed, 24.7.1543, a bond made by Cardinal Beton to join in preventing the giving over of the young Scots Queen into the hands of Henry VIII. Married 19.12.1538 in the Abbey of Lindored Elizabeth, dr. and co-heiress of Sir William Keith, of Innerugie, co. Banff.

28.    Jean Forbes, married James, 5th Lord Ogilvy, born ca. 1541, died October 1606.

29.    James, 6th Lord Ogilvy, died between Aug. 1616 and April 1618, married 1rstly 11.11.1581 Jean, dr. of Willia Ruthven, 1st Earl of Gowrie.

30.    James, Ogilvy, 1rst Earl of Airly, born 1586, died ca. 1664/5, married ca. 1610 Isabel Hamilton, born Edinburgh 18.2.1595/6.

38.    William Alexander Ramsay, L.L.B. Glasgow,Advocate, born 26.1.1866, died 18.1.1921, education: Corpus Christy College, Oxford (B.A.), married 28.12.1905 Cecilia Maud Sandford, died 1915, dr. of William Francis Kemp, Barrister-at-Law.
